We had a very lazy day today. Paul slept in so late that he missed breakfast…or would have but Mary brought him a couple of croissants from the breakfast buffet.
Its a good day for staying inside and enjoying the snow from our igloo.
About mid-day Mary went out to take some photos of the area. What very strange lighting. It is overcast and the sun doesn’t rise very high in the sky. And all the snow also affects the lighting. All of the pictures came out looking sort of blue. Regardless, the place is beautiful.
The outside of our cabin/igloo.
There is a small creek that runs along part of the property between our cabin and the main lodge.
There are a lot of sleds available for guests. People use them to haul their kids (or friends) around or occasionally their luggage.
The snow on all the trees and bushes makes for some interesting snowy abstracts.
Buildings in the snow.
There are sculptures around the grounds...
including a very large reindeer.
Landscapes.
These little “bird houses” are actually light poles that are found along all of the roads and walking paths.
